The LEW or the Licensed Electrical Worker are the workers that have been licensed and certified by the Singapore Electricity board to conduct the electrical repairs and installations. Those electricians or technicians wishing to become licensed electricians need to pass the LEW course to get the required certification. The LEW preparation course is conducted by several institutes and other centers certified for the same.
The course is a short, one day course and aims to inculcate the attendees with the knowledge of the act that governs the Electrical industry. It also makes them understand the various code of practice such as CP5 and CP88.
